The Cisco GLC-SX-MMD is a 1000BASE-SX SFP transceiver for Gigabit Ethernet over multimode fiber. It operates at 850 nm and supports distances up to 550m on 50 μm MMF. Featuring a duplex LC connector, it is hot-swappable and widely compatible with Cisco devices. It also supports Digital Optical Monitoring (DOM) for real-time performance tracking.
